How often should I pump?

I'm just curious of how often I should be pumping? I really dislike it (only cuz I hate my pump) and have Even able to feed my baby having enough supply. I was pumping and have  small milk supply started I just don't like my pump and I'm getting ready to order a new one, different brand all together so I want to know how often I should be pumping and when I should be. I'm a first time mom and this breastfeeding stuff is all new to me :)

I tried to breast feed but was having a really hard time. I just pump every two to four hours and then bottle feed.

I pump at 5 am, while at work at 1140 and 345. I feed on demand while I'm home. What pump are you using? How old is the baby? Don't stress about having a crazy freezer stash. My focus has been on just having enough for each day and maybe a little extra for other events.

It's best to pump every time you feed your baby to make sure your empty and get more in but I miss a few times here and there. When I pumped only once a day my supply started going down but was still able to feed baby, however now that I'm pumping more I do get more milk and have a better stash. I think you really gotta find what's best for you. My LO doesn't eat every 2-3 hours so that rule never worked for me because when I tried it, I would end up empty at a time when she decided she was hungry and had to give a bottle.
