If you have comment the side effects of it. Were you hospitalized? How dick did you get? How did you find out you had it?

This girl I babysat actually got it when she was 15. A piece of a fiber from her platex tampon broke off inside her...she didn't have it in too long or anything, it was just a faulty tampon. She had a super high fever, so she was hospitalized. She then went into a coma for a few days and was put on dialysis because her kidneys were failing. She had a 50% chance of survival at one point, but thankfully she pulled through. She honestly just got super unlucky though because it's super rare. Terrifying, nonetheless.

No i haven't. There was a little BOY in my neighbourhood that got it. He survived but it's also not just caused because of tampons

I thought I had TSS when I had my first ever miscarriage. Didn't know I was having a miscarriage, just thought it was stupidly heavy bleeding! I bled for about 3 weeks and constantly wore tampons (of course I changed them every few hours) and I started to feel hot, sick, shaky. My vagina felt like it was on fire and it hurt. I couldn't stand straight or think straight.

Over the past 10 years, TSS has averaged less than 4 cases per year, not counting the random spike in Michigan last year (though even that was only 5 cases). It's extremely extremely EXTREMELY rare.
