Just Got Paragard!

Hi! I am 17 years old and I recently met my boyfriend and became sexually active about 5 months ago. I wasn't on any birth control and we discovered we both don't like using condoms. So after thorough research I decided that the Paragard IUD was what I wanted! Today was my appointment to have it inserted. I was extremely nervous, but my doctor was actually super nice and comforting and it made the whole thing a quick and easy breeze. The pain is nothing to worry about. The insertion (for me) was actually not super painful. After insertion I'm having regular menstrual cramp pain as expected, but besides that I'm totally fine!
