How to stretch your ears?

I want to start with stretching my first lobe piercing but have zero clue of where to start. Anyone have advice! I only want them stretched smallish is that a problem?

Hey there I think I can help! My ears are at 7/16 or 11mm which is pretty small in some people's eyes but I've done a bunch of research on this topic. Anyways, when I first started stretching my ears I used plastic tapers and I would wear them as jewerly, DO NOT DO THAT!!! It's so unhealthy for your ears and you'll notice it when your ears start feeling dry and itchy and the holes become uneven
Tapers are not jewerly, they're tools and after you've fed the taper through, follow it with a metal tunnel or stone plug 
It's worth it to invest money in some metal ones. I would suggest getting a stretching kit that has metal tapers and metal tunnels, stay away from plastic and acrylic. 
Once you get to about a 0 gauge stop using the tapers because your ears can have what's called a "blow out"
After you get to 0 if you plan on going any bigger use the wrapping method, you can look into it but it's a pretty easy method 
I would suggest starting at a 16g or 14g and going from there. I hope this is helpful!
