on my period for way too long???

I got my iud put in a week ago today and I've been on my period since then. Usually, my periods are very light and they're only 2-3 days long, but this one has been for a week and it's been heavier than my usual ones. Should I be concerned about this?

That is very normal! I only recently stopped bleeding and ive had my mirena in for about two months

I got the mierna after I spotted for a few then it spotted and when I got my first period while on it .. it literally lasted almost a month it's normal as long as there's no really bad pain or really bad bleeding your good. Remember to check you strings every so often as well 👌🏻

Which IUD did I get? I just got the Liletta and they told me I should not bleed for more than a week after. When I got the paragard two years ago, I bled for a month and a half straight (but I did have a lot of problems with the paragard). It's probably fine, but it can't hurt to give your doctor a call and ask if that's normal.
