Is it safe @ 17 weeks?

Hello! Im currently 17 weeks pregnant and I'll be going out of town in 3 days, we are flying and I just wanted to know if anyone here has ever traveled by plane while pregnant? I'm also nervous because I've never been on an airplane before.. Lol any comments/experiences? ✈️✈️✈️

I flew around 22 weeks and it was fine. Make sure you stretch your legs and look up some moves to improve circulation in your feet. I did the rolling my ankles thing every hour or so and got up to walk as often as possible as well as staying hydrated.

You should be fine! I think until the third trimester..... Some people are different. But you shouldn't have any issues at 17 weeks. Just drink lots of water while your traveling! You don't want to get dehydrated

If your having a normal healthy pregnancy you will be totally fine. I flew at 22 weeks. It's even fine in the 3rd trimester. Double check with your doctor if your unsure. Just make sure and drink plenty or water and if it's a long flight walk up and down the aisle sometimes to prevent any swelling.

I'll be boarding a 9 hour flight out of the country at 22 weeks. My midwife suggested compression stockings (find them on Amazon- some are actually cute!) and bringing plenty of snacks if it's over two hours. Stay hydrated (and stay away from caffeine- it dehydrates you) and try to get up and walk every hour. Pinterest has some good pregnancy travel exercises too- rolling ankles and some creative seat yoga lol. Good luck!

I think they've just upped the weeks in pregnancy you can fly to 33 or something similar to that providing your doctor or the airline agrees
