blood test for gender?

Have any of you ladys taken the blood test early on in your pregnancy to find out the gender of your baby? I was told by a friend about this test and also the ultrasound tech had metioned it to me when i went to my first ultrasound at 6w4d.. i did some research and read that you can find out as early as 10 weeks. I want to ask my dr about this test my next vist. I will be 9w6d at the time.. i was wondering if any of you ladys have done this test and if so were the result accurate?

We did it with our first pregnancy & got test results saying our daughter has a genetic abnormality called triple X syndrome.  At the time this was incredibly scary & the genetic counselor suggested we terminate.  I tracked down a geneticist at the Mayo Clinic who told me to wait till 16 weeks & get an Amnio to be certain.  We did that & it showed our daughter did NOT have triple X, and that the blood test was a false positive.  My daughter is now 18 months old, so healthy & happy.  We are pregnant with baby #2 now, I just took that same blood test again on Monday and am terrified to get the results again.  Hoping we have a much smoother result this pregnancy.  I share this story to let people know these tests often come back with false positives.  If u get strange results keep the faith that it could all be a mistake.

I had blood drawn on Monday. My dr offers the Panorama test by a lab called Natera.  It tests for all the abnormalities and trisomies. Because of this, the test is covered by my insurance. Due to the genetic testing, it tells the gender as well. They're calling me next week with the results

A 4D sonogram place near me does them for $150 and I have shitty insurance so I'm going for it! Did it with my first and found out at 10 weeks! Then it was $100 with insurance through my OB's office

Yep I did it with my last pregnancy and will again with this one! It's 99.9% accurate :)

I did the blood test with this one, still waiting on results . We were told it could take a week or two to come in and the one my dr did is covered by insurance there are a couple different ones , but hopefully you can get the one covered by your insurance

I'm 10w4d and supposed to get the blood test done later today. I was told that insurance may not cover it so I want to see how much it is going to be if they don't cover it. One person on a previous post said they alert charged $150, and another said $430.

It's called the NIPT test non-invasive prenatal test. It's 100% accurate and not only can you learn the gender but it's also less invasive and you an learn a lot about baby early on. I had  it with my second and insurance paid 100% on it.

We did a blood test called Counsyl it tested for gender and a few common genetic defects. Your insurance may cover it, if not the self pay cost is $350.00. Results for us were 100%.
