Arrangement ms

So the father of my baby and I are at an impasse. The baby is due in August, but I'm not going to college until January. Where he'll take care of the baby while I'm in school and work, then I take care of her while he's at work. We're getting an off campus apartment. There's one small issue though. I'm going to be home from August til then and he lives three miles away. I don't feel comfortable using public transportation with a newborn plus it gets cold here. His mom lives a few blocks away and legally speaking he lives with her (he went to his dad's in November) I don't want him making anymore sacrifices though. He hates his mom. But I don't know what else to do!
