I'm confused......

Me and my aunt are having a discussion. She says women can still have a period even if they don't ovulate......... I thought you had to ovulate in order to get your period. Because I'm ttc and I'm sure ovulation isn't the problem since I get symptoms around the time my period tracker tells me ovulating and my periods are normal and on point each month.... so whose right and whose wrong?! Educate me ladies 😂
