Depo Shot

I'm currently taking the pill Junel, but I'm thinking about possibly switching to the Depo shot. I haven't really had any issues on the pill, I would just like to be on something more reliable that won't be affected by anything such as antibiotics or an upset stomach (vomiting/diarrhea). I'm thinking the shot because I don't really like the idea of the implant or IUD.

Has anyone switched from the pill to the shot and how did your body react to this. Was your period longer or did it start not coming at all? Anything you can tell me about your own personal experience would be helpful. Thank you!
