PCOS - period and the GP

Beth

I went to my GP about my lack of periods (at this point I was eight months late..)

She asked me if I wanted children, I said not right now I guess.

She then asked if I wanted to fix my acne? I said obviously and gave me medication for that.

But not for my period?

I did end up coming on my period for 14 days but now I'm 14 days late as of today.

My periods show a pattern of having only three periods a year which are regular and then just stop until the next year. The months it occurs vary.

But this year I've had one period.

Shouldn't I have been given medication or something for my period? To try and make it regular or something?
