irregular cycle - when to take a pregnancy test

Hi! So I am ttc with my 2nd child. My cycle has become irregular since having her almost 4 years ago. It's around 40+ days long. This month I used the clear blue ovulation test and had over 7 days of high fertility until I ran out. During the time and after we BD every other day. Based on the app which isn't always accurate I was supposed to get my period last Wednesday but I still have yet to get it. Anyone in the same boat as me? I am really hoping I am pregnant. I have taken 2 pregnancy test and negative. Advise?
