Copper IUD Removal - Now what?

Hi, I recently got my copper iud removed after having it in for 5 years! My partner and I are excited to be trying to conceive and have been with no success in the first month. Has anyone had any struggles or insight to shed? Prior to the iud I did have an abortion and I don't know if that dark path has prevented me from pregnancy.

Hey, I also removed my copper IUD in February also. It was right after my cycle. I didn't have any luck that month of course. I've been tracking since January. 
This month I used an OPK ( Ovulation Prediction Kit) CLEAR BLUE. If all fails and I get my period on the 27th. I'll be using the OPK and Preseed for my next Ovulation. I've heard of fast success stories and and some people that have taken up to a year to conceive after removing the IUD. but let's think positive. I also had an abortion in the past. I spoke to my doctor about it. They said not to worry. So stay positive and fun fun while trying to make your beautiful baby. I wish you lots of luck!

I had the copper IUD removed in early February and didn't get preggo my first cycle. My hubs and I are trying to conceive. I heard it can take anywhere from 3-6 months for healthy couples to conceive. I would ask your doc about the abortion thing but I'm praying for optimal health for you and your partner! Hang in!

I had two strange cycles after coming off, 100 days then 20 days. I got pregnant on the third, but miscarried. Had to wait one cycle from there, and am currently trying on the third cycle again. Good luck!

I had my copper iud removed in February. No success that month, but I think I missed my ovulation. This month I've been using a opk and I ovulated 4 days after glow predicted I would. That would be my suggestion to you is to track ovulation.
