Online and in love?

This is not from my experience but I'm curious. Do you belive that you can be in love with someone you have only known online? I'm talking about those who have never met each other in person even though they FaceTime or Skype. ALL OPINIONS ARE WELCOMED. If you get too sensitive leave.

I think it's totally possible to feel like you are in love, but there is a very important aspect to physical contact (no I don't mean just sex) to feel that true feeling of love for someone. Just look at all those people who fall for "catfish" online. They truly believe they are in love, but it's all a lie which they would know if there was a true physical connection. I realize this post said they would be doing FaceTime and Skype but I still think you need to be in physical proximity to someone before you can say you are in love with them. It's just a body chemistry thing.

Met my husband online. TBH the first time we met in person I went in expecting it to just be one date. I literally fell head over heels in love and have spent everyday with him since and we are now expecting our first baby together. We took the time to truly get to know eachother before becoming physical and it was the best decision we could have made

Depends on the situation. My sister in law met her husband online. They have been married for over 10 years and have to beautiful kids together!! So it is possible.

I can see people falling in love online but as the love grows, there is a level or stage of physical intimacy that has to be met to commit to each other. You won't know it's love until you meet the person face to face.

Until you meet then and start a irl relationship you're more in love with the idea of them. Not actually them. In my honest opinion. If you've only ever "met" them online then you really haven't seen the real them and therefore you're really in love with what you think they are or what you want them to be. Not them.

I've met many people online many of which I've come to know very closely. It's a great way to meet people and get to know them with the chance of blocking them if they turn out to be weirdos
