Should I stop taking Vitex?

I had a 24-26 cycle, but I never ovulated on my own so I decided to take Vitex. I have yet to have a period and I am approaching CD 60. Should I stop taking Vitex indefinitely? I was so excited to try the natural route and looked forward to avoiding the horrible side effects that metformin gave me. It also gave me false hope as I thought I was pregnant and I'm not. Has anyone taken Vitex and had a messed up your cycle as a result?

I take but I have very long cycles.  I'm on cd67 I've only been taking vitex 2 1/2 weeks.  I thought vitex was for ppl that just had long cycles,  I could be wrong though.  But from what I read that many ppl who take it, it might mess up the first cycle as it's getting your body syncarized. Vitex is slow acting it can take 3-6 months to actually work.  Good luck

Vitex messed up my cycles. Caused me to bleed all month this cycle!! So frustrating. Does anyone know how long will my hormones go back to what is was before vitex?

I would not recommend to take vitex if your cycles are 24 days... also you have to be really careful with it, if you take it and you are pregnant it can provoke miscarriage..

I take metformin and it's really not that bad. I started with 1000mg a day and I had no side effects at all with that. Then my doctor doubled it to 2000 a day and I did have some stomach issues for about a week or so. But then my body got used to it and they went away.

What side effects did metformin give you? If it was stomach related, then you can offset that be changing your diet. Cut carbs and sugar, replace low nutrient carbs with high nutrients carbs and upping your protein helps.

Insulin and fertility go hand in hand. If your body isn't using insulin correctly, you're not gonna ovulate. That's what the metformin is for... Probably the only natural solution would be drastically changing your diet-no carbs, no sugar- but even that's not a guarantee.

Depends on how long you've been taking it, could take 4-6months to see any effects or changes from the supplement. 
I just started myo-inositol and have remind myself to be patient to see if it's actually working, doc told me to wait 4 months and so we have a follow up than.

I heard that your first time taking vitex you can have a long cycle an then the other month it will go back to normal if you wanna stop taking it you can go ahead hun😘
