Nexplanon- period late or normal?

My period is "late" but on nexplanon you're not garenteed a period each month. I have protected sex everytime so that's why I haven't been worrying lol. I also tested and both came out negative. What do you think? Did my nexplanon stop my periods? Last month my period was super super light and now I'm just having cramps as if I'm on my period but no blood. I'm not complaining bc I hate periods lol I'm just new to nexplanon.
