Extreme flow

Diana

So, I had a baby 4 months ago, I got my period the first month after having him, but that was the last time, I haven't had one in 3 months until 3 days ago.

It came with NO WARNING (you know how you get cramps or maybe spotting... nope none) and the first day was like a normal flow, but then day 2 was like the red Sea of "ew ew ew" I also am dealing with mastitis in one breast and am on antibiotics, last night I bled through 3 pairs of underwear and clothes, along with a size 2 diaper (I stole one to use because the overnight pads were not working) there is just so much blood I started to get concerned, I'm also in A LOTS of pain with cramping the issue is its only on one side (my left) my husband thinks maybe a cyst ruptured on top of my period starting that's why there's just so much blood, which makes sense, I've only had one other time I had a cyst, and that was an medical emergency, as it got to the size of a tennis ball and contorted my fallopian tube, which I lost (way before my son and a year after my daughter) it had died and turned gangrene, which was spreading through my body. That too was on the left side.

Sorry about the long post, but my question is, is this "normal" to bleed that much, the amount is the amount of blood I bled when I got my first period (after) having my daughter, with my son, I didn't bleed really. So maybe this is the "first period" either way it needs to go somewhere, because my husband is deploying soon and I would really REALLY like to spend "time" with him before he leaves, but at this rate, and flow, I don't think it's going to happen.

Thanks for reading.
