I saw my dr last week at right around 12 weeks and assumed we were doing the first trimester screening, which includes a dating scan and the NT test. It turns out my OB doesn't do scans at that time anymore, they perform a blood test instead that tests for Downs and other chromosomal abnormalities. The last scan I had was at 8 weeks, and because I will start seeing a high risk OB after a cervical cerclage is placed, I won't have another scan until the end of 14 weeks. Has anyone else's doctor forgone the first trimester screening?
