So help me God, I will kill the in-laws
I DO NOT WANT THEIR UNSOLICITED ADVICE OR OPINIONS
Every single bit of input from them for the last 37 weeks has consisted of topics limited to miscarriage, still births and cot deaths.
Since we found out we were expecting in August, the MIL in particular has loomed over our happy bubble like the spectre of death. Everything has been "too early, too soon, anything could happen..." etc.
EVERY SINGLE PREGNANT LADY is aware of these things during early pregnancy and can torment themselves to distraction with such thoughts so sometimes a little bit of POSITIVITY from family is appreciated.
Even now, at 37 weeks, they're "risk assessing" the f*****g nursery and helpfully pointing out ALLLLLL of the ways baby could die in the cot. Great pep talk.
Words cannot describe how much I entirely loath them. They are miserable, anal and thoughtless and one day very soon when my hormones are at peak crazy I will go Vesuvius on them.
Rant accomplished.
