Will the Stomach Flu Effect My Period?

So I randomly got the stomach flu at 5:30am on Friday morning, I was vomitting every 30 minutes and couldn't keep liquid, not even a sip of water down. Long story short, I ended up in the ER, nurses were surprised I hadn't passed out yet. I came home at 11pm that night and I'm still not feeling 100%. Period was due today. While I have gotten cramps I haven't gotten my period and I assume that if the rest of my is effected by the flu then my period would be too. So this being said could my body skip an entire period or what should I expect exactly?
