Has anyone else gotten terbutaline injections to prevent preterm labor ?? 34 weeks as of yesterday and I had a spontaneous gush of fluid run down my legs (I thought it was my water but nurses said they found no trace of amniotic fluid in their testing so maybe just a lot of discharge ?) and an hour later or so I started to experience pressure in my lower back and abdomen which then increased to actual contractions (which I had no idea, it just felt like an annoying cramp like pinch, until the nurse told me that they were in fact contractions) anyways they injected me with terbutaline, they said to stop the contractions & they told me some of the side of effects, but once I came home and googled it I saw bad things about it online , anyone had any experience with this shot, good or bad? Also , how long does the shot hold of labor and contractions ?
