Babies can start hearing at 16 weeks? I thought it was 20-24 weeks they start hearing?

They start hearing at 16 weeks. By 20 weeks their hearing is fully developed. It's the only sense that developes completely in the womb. By 20 weeks they can hear like an adult.

16 wks they hear in utero and by 20 wks they can hear outside of the womb. Loud noises like gun shots and fireworks can hurt baby before that stage though.
