Is it okay for your man to search for his ex?

I'm asking because I saw my SO was searching for his ex on Instagram. I trust him and I just get nosey sometimes and so does he so I just went on his Instagram and saw that he searched for her... they've been broken up for about 3 years.. we've been together a year but he's acting like an asshole about it. Would you be pissed? Makes me wonder if he misses her or something??

Once we met he had to meet with her in person to get closure. Which I was totally cool with that but I thought it was weird because they had already been broken up 2 years... and as for the nosey part.. he checks my acounts EVERYDAY. I don't tell him I know but it'll show me who's logged on to my stuff, from where, what time, and what devices. So if anyone's nosey it's him. I haven't felt the need to look at any of his stuff, just felt nosey today so I looked. I just wonder if he misses her.. because of needing to get closure two years later from her after they broke up so he could move on and date me and then he searched her. Maybe he was just curious but he's had an issue with messaging other girls on social media in the past.. that's why I get nosey sometimes and I just don't want social media to ruin us.. and for people wondering if we're young, I'm 23 and he's 32.
