how did you tell your husband he is going to be a father?

I wonder if this is how men feel about proposing? Does it matter how you tell him or just that he knows?

Did you wait or tell him immediately?

We were looking for furniture (couch, chair, ottoman) I took the test in the bathroom after spotting and no real period. I walked out and asked if we should look at cribs instead!

We found out on our first anniversary which also happened to be Father's Day. We were at a wedding the night before so when I woke up in the morning, took the test and it was positive almost instantly. I was shaking but I got myself together, hid the test in my hand and climbed back into bed where my husband was still sleeping. I leaned over and kissed his cheek and said "happy anniversary". He said it back and then I asked if I could give him his anniversary gift. He of course said yes, so I took the test, put it in front of him and said "happy Father's Day". He was so excited but shocked at the same time. Definitely a day neither of us will forget!

My husband walked into the bathroom as it was turning bright positive. I covered my mouth and said "Holy shit, babe!!!" 😆😂 
We had been trying for 4 years and a positive was not expected.

I saw sooo many cute things people did to tell their hubbies, but when my positive test finally came, I was WAY TOO EXCITED to even consider any of them! 😂 I just ran into our bedroom and told him instantly. 7 months isn't too long to try, considering, but it felt like ages! So beyond excited for my sweet Baby "O"!

I climbed back in bed after getting a positive test in the morning, snugged in and told him.

I had considered doing something special to surprise him, but I think just me and him together was a special moment. I know I'll always remember the way his eyes popped open when I said "I have to tell you something." He was beaming before I could get the whole sentence out.

My friend surprised her husband with a onesie and a dad-to-be book. I think everyone is different so you just need to do what feels right for you!
