vitex or cassanovum experience?

I ordered cassanovum plus and it came the day after I ovulated so I took it that day. I know it is supposed to help regulate your cycle when you take it on CD1. Intent to ovulate later in my cycle and was hoping to length my luteal phase by promoting earlier ovulation.

Usually I am 27/28 day cycles. But today is CD29 and I have light spotting but my temp is still elevated. Those with experience with vitex or cassanovum, do you think it's already lengthening my luteal phase?

I just assumed it would only lengthen it by promoting earlier ovulation. I am currently 12 DPO.
