at a standstill need help

I'm at a total standstill and it's killing me everyday! I had a miscarriage last march and only had a few periods after, now I haven't had one for about 8 months! We are so desperate to try for our baby but I feel like it's a standstill. I am 30 and my fiancé is 40 I feel like I am going to wake up one day and be too old. Does anyone please have some advice on what I can do to help my situation. TIA
