8 lb 10 oz baby 39+6 weeks 😮
I went in for an NST, ultrasound and ob appointment today! During the NST I had 3 contractions that were small but my son was fighting them hard and constantly moving during the entire NST.
The ultrasound looked good. Baby's head is in 84th percentile. Overall body is in 91st percentile. Measurement of his weight was 8 lbs 10 oz but the doctor said it could be a pound off, either above or below.
I have only progressed 1 cm since last week so I am now at 2cm. They do not seem worried about his weight, head or body size. They decided that if he doesn't come by Monday, I will go back for an NST and ob check again. If I haven't dilated any more or a significant amount, they are going to admit me Tuesday night and start me on cervidil to soften and open up my cervix. Then Wednesday morning they will start me on pitocin.
I am super worried because of both his head and body size. This is my first baby and they are still planning on me delivering vaginally but refuse to make him come early.
Also, I have been in significantly more pain since leaving the doctors office and my son has yet to stop moving as well. Anyone have positive stories about labor with big babies, being induced, and going overdue?
