How can I make losing my virginity special?

I'm 22, so I'm not some high school teenager sneaking around after curfew. I've been with my boyfriend for a year and a half, and I think I'm ready to have sex with him.

How can I make it a special occasion without turning it into a huge ordeal or spending a lot money? I've always expected to wait til my wedding night to lose it, so I don't want it to be just another night or some casual event. It doesn't have to be in a 5-star hotel in Jamaica, but I don't want it to be while we're sitting in pajamas eating pizza and watching Netflix either.

Any suggestions or personal anecdotes?  I live in an apartment with 3 other roommates, and so does he, so either of our places aren't high on my list because I don't want anyone to hear anything, but I'm not sure if we've got an affordable alternative.

Talk to him. Tell him you want it to be special. And honestly I wouldn't make too big of a deal out of it or put too much pressure on the idea. I too wanted to wait til marriage at one point and I'm glad I didn't. Not saying people shouldn't, but for myself, I'm glad I didn't. If you're close to your roommates maybe talk to them also and try to get the apartment to your self, light some candles maybe and some mood music could help too😊 my real first time lasted literally 2 minutes probably and I just had a "that was it?" moment lol. Take your time, be in the moment, laugh if you want to and ask questions!! It doesn't need to be a huge deal to be special. As long as you're enjoying yourself and having fun, that's all that matters❤❤❤

You guys could always start off with a romantic bubble bath together. Start off by slowly kissing, and once the kissing escalates, take it to the bedroom. You guys could always rent a motel room or something.
