Has anyone had a Growth Scan???

I went in for my 20 week anatomy scan I'm actually 22 weeks and 3 days. I was told she looked heathy and good she's 1 pound 2 ounces. Well the doctors office called me about 2 hours later for me to come back in in 2 weeks not 4 weeks as scheduled for a growth scan. I'm so worried I've never had one before and don't want to be worried or stressed has anyone ever had this happened or have it done?

I'm very confident it's just because of how far along you are or it could be they need a better picture of part of your baby! My daughter refused to show her head and with my second I had to go to a specialist after my first anatomy scan that was scary, they didn't tell me why! Just needed better pictures!! Don't stress be happy for baby if something was wrong they would tell you! Maybe email your dr if you have that option see if you can get some clarification to ease your mind!!

Maybe it's because the baby is measuring. A bit on the big side? My baby was 12 ounces at my 20 week scan (I was 20w5d)...although she's in the 26th percentile so she's a tad bit small. Hopefully everything turns out okay with your little one! On the bright side, at least you get an extra ultrasound!

Hi, I also have to have growth scans, also have high bp and they want to check the labetalol I'm on isn't affecting growth, had scan at 20 weeks and he was above average, go back at 28 & 34 to also find out if my placenta has moved up too ☺️

I'm 23 weeks and having a growth scan at 28 weeks and one at 34 weeks. I have high bp so they want to make sure that baby is growing as it should. I take it as a bonus because if we need extra scans I means their keeping in top of it and I'll get to see he or she a few more times! 😀

I just had my anatomy scan today and in 4 weeks they are doing another ultrasound because my baby's head meassured small.

Did they tell you larger or smaller to scale? I'm having growth scans at 28 , 32, and 36 because he's potentially large x
