When my husband and I were dating in college, he did that after we had been together for about 8 months. It was really hard to get over, and I made him cut ties with the girl, but eventually I forgave him and 10 years later we're married and I totally trust him. I think it just depends on the guy and the situation. Plus he's a very different person that when he was 19.
