Barbara Streisand, by many accounts, owned the 1970s. In a career that has spanned six decades, Streisand has wowed audiences with her singing, acting, and directing. She's also a fierce advocate for gay rights; her popularity has been supported by the gay community since the very beginning.
Long before it was cool to do so, she used her stardom to celebrate her gay fans and raise funds for the LGBTQ community. Streisand is also one of only a few performers to be honored with an Emmy, Oscar, Grammy, and Tony award. Fabulous!
