Coffee?

What are your thoughts on drinking coffee while breastfeeding? Baby's one month and I've been wanting to drink some coffee but I'm not sure if i should, i don't mind going longer without it just want to know if anyone has

I was told that you can have around 500 - 700 mg of caffeine a day while breastfeeding. Some babies are more sensitive to caffeine than others, though. I drink two or three cups a day and my baby has never had a reaction. Kellymom.com has a good article about caffeine while breastfeeding!

I mostly have decaf but regular every now and then and haven't had any issues

I sometimes drink 1 cup of decaf. You could start there and see how LO reacts

It's totally fine. I drink coffee every morning and some other caffeine drink later in the day

I drink coffee and haven't noticed an issue with baby drinking the milk and staying up at night
