acupuncture for labor.. does it work?

Question

I'm scheduled for my induction this Tuesday at 39 weeks due to babies size. I'd really like to start labor on my own.. has anyone had acupuncture work for them and if so how many treatments and how soon after treatment?! I'm hoping that acupuncture works!

Can't say for sure yet... I'm 38 weeks and been doing acupuncture since my first miscarriage 1.5 years ago. I can say that without a doubt acupuncture is what got my cycles back on track after they literally stopped post miscarriage. I feel it also had a ton to do with me getting and staying pregnant this time.

Just last week she started the labor induction protocol on me so hoping it's gonna help move things along and keep me from going overdue! She said they amp up the treatment each week to really stimulate the uterus and also tonify the blood so that mom actually has the qi/energy to get thru labor. I am hopeful it will help as it has in the past!!
