Do you consider Wicca to be a real religion?

Wicca is a legit religion.

Witchcraft is actually not a religion but a practice. But it can be incorporated into any religious belief.
Also, it should be noted, the Bible has had many words changed completely when translated from multiple languages. 
And that regardless of your sins, God will still love you no matter if your a Witch/Wiccan/Heathen/Pagan.

As for a person being Wiccan, I unfortunately have a bad taste in my mouth when I think of one.

Every Wiccan is a Witch, but not every Witch is Wiccan.

Wicca is new-age. It was created in the early 1900's as an offshoot of Witchcraft. The later being a belief system so old that it predates Christianity significantly.

I am a non-Wiccan Witch - I strictly practice the old ways. Nothing new-agey. But I've met so few wiccans who are down to earth that I find myself making them the brunt of my jokes. I try not to think of wiccans like that - I really do. But when I hear that Kitty Raven Star and her husband Wolf Moon Blood invoked a deity and then both transmorphed in to lions for a few hours, I tend to find that laughable. Mostly because it's extremely difficult to invoke. Anyone who says that is most likely confusing it with evoke.

But I do know a couple wiccans who are level headed so whenever I picture wiccans, I try and just think of them instead.

Absolutely! Infact I am one myself! My fiancé is a Christan, and he knows and excepts my beliefs. It took a while for him to come around. Just give it sometime. Good luck coming out of the broom closet!

Of course it's a religion. Wicca is a religion, it's a type of Paganism. Witchcraft is a practice; a craft.

Everyone makes judgements on other religions based on the bible. Well NEWS FLASH, other religions don't follow the bible. Of corse Wicca is a religion, it's Pagan. Witchcraft is controlling energies, it's NOT evil.

That is a more new age term, that no matter where it pops up, seems to have various views and meanings.

My husbands family is Pagan, there's "witches", yet no one accepts the word "wiccan".  Could it be one? Sure. Why not, and why does it matter?

I believe that it's up to you weather you want to make it your religion or not. I personally don't believe in it but I would NEVER down or degrade anyone who does. What I think is right and what other people think is right may differ but that's what makes everyone unique. I respect other people's views and religion in hopes that they do the same (:

Witchcraft doesn't nessisarily mean "religious". You can practice witchcraft purely for the science of it, without regarding the deities in any way. So depending on your practice, it may not be a religion.

However, for me it very much is.
