Swaddle with clothes underneath??

Just wondering if a newborn would over heat if he was wearing a jumper underneath a swaddle. I figure they like to be warm but not sure if it's dangerous or not.

Rule of thumb when dressing a baby is you would put an extra layer on a baby from what you would wear. So a swaddle on top of a layer of clothing is perfectly fine!

I always do forhead checks with my baby too. To see if she is too hot or cold!

It depends on how thick the blanket is that your swaddling baby in. I swaddle my daughter no matter what she's wearing but I use the thin 100%cotton blankets made for swaddling
