FSH through the roof :(

shelli

Just got the results of blood tests back and the doctor said everything was normal except an overactive thyroid gland and slightly high levels of testosterone. She said we have to montior the thyroid, testing again in a few months, but the testosterone was not high enough to require medication.

When I got home I looked at the results more closely and noticed that my FSH was 21.47 when according to the normal levels should be under 12! She didn't even mention that so I'm gobsmacked and devastated. I had the tests done on CD3.

My LH was 11.53 which is supposed to be normal according to the range they give here.

I have a feeling I won't get any help from the national health service and am wondering whether to go for a private consultancy.

Has anyone else had results like these?
