Personally, I dont want to know. I think it will make the birthing experience more exciting. Plus, the first few weeks the baby will most likely stay home and sleep most of the time. With online shopping as big as it is, I can buy whatever gender specific things I need. I'm buying all gender neutral items, stroller, swing, nursery, bedding, etc so I can reuse for the next baby. Being the first grandchild, im sure my mom will go nuts anyways (she's a firm believer of the surprise as well).

My hubby on the other hand, wants to know. So we shall see how this goes lol. First dr appt is tomorrow and I told him the only way I'd consider budging is if there's more than 1 in there.

I didn't find out when I was pregnant with my son and I won't find out this pregnancy either :) it was fun not knowing and then when I had my son and they plopped him on my chest everyone in the room shouted "it's a boy!" It was fun having everyone in the room including nurses and doctor excited to find out what the gender was! Plus you don't get all the dumb advice when you're pregnant about what it's like having a boy/girl

I've had 2 girls already and found out the genders of them both.

This is probably my last pregnancy and wanted to try something new.

I don't want to know but Dad does. So he's going to keep it a secret. Or at least try. And I promised I won't be mad if he spoils the surprise.

However we have no idea on a girl name or the order our boy name will be.

Hopefully we won't need a girl name since I want a boy but will be happy with a girl.

I don't understand not wanting to know. My husband said he didn't want to know. I said that was fine and I wouldn't tell him. Later he changed his mind and said he does want to know because it won't be any fun if just he doesn't know. I am a planner. I like to know everything in advance.
