Is she a mother?

So let's say there is a woman who gets pregnant, gives birth to the child, and then gives the child up for adoption. Would you consider her to be a mother?

On one hand, she gave birth to the child which I think technically makes her a mother, but on the other, she won't be raising the child, which I think a lot of you would agree is the most important part. What do you think?
