Baths?

So I'm only 10 weeks along, and this is my first pregnancy, so I want to make sure everything goes right. I wanted to take a hot bath the other day but I read somewhere that baths aren't good for the baby at all, and it could cause a miscarriage. Is this true??

It's mostly about the heat raising your blood pressure so not making the water too hot. I'm 24 weeks and still take very warm baths to ease back pain

Your fine!! Its hot tubs you need to stay away from. 10 mins or less. If bathing which is such an everyday thing was an issue ans caused miscarriages, drs would tell us.

You don't want it piping hot ever, but the most important timing for you not to raise your temp is the first 6 weeks or so. As the neural tube doesn't close until the 6th week and studies have shown adverse effects (neural tube defects) of heat exposure on fetus in those first few weeks. If you have to ease yourself into the water it's too hot and you should never feel hot or too warm in the bath. Buy a thermometer if you want to be really sure.

I think it is I took a just warm bath around 8 weeks I'm now 21weeks. Just have to not make it as hot as normal same as showering.

I stayed away from hot baths because I'm just paranoid but they say warm baths are just fine and good for overall body aches. You just don't want to overheat the baby. I think a rule of thumb is that it shouldn't turn your skin pink when you're in it. If you want to get exact, I'm sure there is a temp limit online that you can Google.
