Our Delivery Story!
Last Thursday I went in for my 39 week check in. My blood pressure was a little high so my Dr had me come back the following morning to check it again. It was still a little elevated so they scheduled an induction for me later that night. I went to the hospital around 8 got into triage and checked in around 9. By 11 I had a foley balloon inserted, and a dosage of Cervidil. They told me that it may start cramps, which happened immediately. They sent me off to bed at 12 with an ambien and I was told the pitocin would be started after breakfast. Fast forward to 3:30am (Ambien was a fail), I really had to pee and my foley balloon came out! I laid down for thirty minutes before the pain set in. I tired getting up and bam my water breaks. I took a shower, skipped breakfast, asked for an epidural and was told no bc I was in early labor still, and given IV meds instead. I tried sitting in the tub around 8:30am, didn't help. I asked for an epidural again and got some long blab about being in early labor again. Someone finally came, I was given one, and birthed my son 30 mins later at 10:36 am on March 25th. Not what I planned but he's everything, so who cares!
