I had a second degree tear that needed to be stitched and I also had two grazes that were stitched closed so it wouldn't sting so much when I used the toilet... I'm now three days postpartum and my vagina is sooooo swollen and sore I am seriously walking like a sumo wrestler. I can't sit at all and when I go to the toilet and pat myself dry I can feel something like a lump hanging out past my vagina lips and it's very tender. My visiting midwife said it was part of my tear where the stitches ended? :/
