Who holds more power Jesus or god?

For Christians: My aunt is Christian I am not. I know close to nothing about the religion. She lately goes live on fb and posts about Christianity and faith etc. I barley ever listen but today I did and she was saying that this boy was sick and and everybody in her church anointed him with oil for whatever reason? And then said that it's up to Jesus if he'll be healed. I really don't mean to be argumentative or anything but shouldn't God who created Jesus hold more power than him? Or is there something I'm missing?? Tia.
