Question

Is anyone planning a homebirth with a Midwife? I'd love to get advice from mommies who have succeeded or had a change of heart. ❤️

First baby born at home (baby #2, my first HBAC) - this is in our dining room ❤

And baby #3 (2nd HBAC) - born in our living room! My 2nd and 3rd are 20 months apart.

I've had two amazing homebirths (HBACS actually!) and can tell you it was the best decision, EVER! I had two midwives (a pair that works together) and their student for my first homebirth, then the same pair for my second. Both of my babes were born in a birthing pool. One in the middle of my dining room (table was removed!) and one in the middle of my living room.

I've had 2 home births. I'm thinking about doing the  birthing center this time as insurance covers it. It's literally a house set up with a couple birthing suits, the midwives treat it like a home birth and I then get to go home a couple hours later 🙂. I loved my home births though, def prefer it over a hospital birth (I've had 3 of those).

I really wanted to with this one, but I had some pretty serious abdominal surgery 6 months ago, so I wanted to be cautious. Luckily I found a doctor who works with a team of midwives, and they are very hands off. I'm 38, and I'm not considered high risk.

We're planning a homebirth. Due May 7th. I'm happy to answer any questions about the prenatal stuff, but haven't gotten to the birth part yet. :)
