missed period, IUD?

guys I'm a bit nervous. I've had my copper IUD since 2015 and my periods have been regular. this is the first time I've missed three days. I've been having period symptoms but just scared because I am sexually active with my significant other. does anyone have any advice? has this ever happened anyone ?

The same thing happened to me this past month. I have usually had a regular (and heavy) flow with the copper IUD but this month mine was a bit lighter and ended quicker and it came late as well. 
I wasn't sure what to do either.

Don't quote me on it.... but.... if works by constantly braking down the uterus wall, hence why periods become lighter and will  eventually cause them to stop, might be because of the that....
