Losing the baby weight...

Kaleigh
My son is 1 month old (I know everyone is going to be telling me to relax about this because he's little yet, but hear me out!) and breastfeeding like crazy. Throughout my pregnancy, I gained 60 pounds. It was CRAZY, and honestly I never expected to gain so much weight considering I kept active and ate extremely healthy throughout my entire pregnancy. I was a collegiate athlete before I was pregnant, and I would say that I was in the best shape I had ever been in, and tried to work out as much as I could (modified of course) while I was expecting. People told me not to worry about the weight, because I'm young and I planned on breastfeeding. They said 'oh the weight will just melt off.' And so far..... it hasn't. I've been back working out, but I feel like a stranger trapped inside of a body that is way too big for me. I just feel yucky, and the weight isn't coming off. Even inches arent coming off of my body! So I have to ask the question. Are there other mommas out there who haven't lost weight while breastfeeding?? Does it take a while for your body to get used to not being pregnant and then it starts losing weight? Is my body holding on to fat for nursing purposes?? I can't figure it out! I just want to feel like myself again & have clothes that fit 😭
