Can someone explain where the rest of the leg is? 😂

I noticed everyone's 20 week gender shots have these same little legs like mine, but I can't figure out what I'm looking at! Is this showing only the femur and the kneecap? Or is it the shin and the feet... and if so, where's the top of the leg? I can't figure it out!

The ultrasound pictures are kind if like removing a slice of bread out of the loaf. You see what is going on at that particular level but not higher or lower. 
Baby doesnt have enough room to full extend leg to get it all in one picture so its knees are bent. You see the two thighs and one femur because the other leg is slightly lower or higher than the other so thats why you dont see both femurs in that 'slice'
If this is from your anatomy scan they do look for the lower leg and feet, they just aren't in this pic

Ultrasounds are tricky that way, but my best guess is the shins and feet are under the leg you're seeing. That's definitely a femur, and ultrasounds "cut" through images layer by layer,  so you're just not seeing what's beneath her thigh.
