A Moment I Will Always Remember....

Chardonnay
My little princess will be 2 weeks tomorrow and I decided to share this amazing moment with the world. I was originally due March 11, 2016 but Nyomi had other plans for mommy.
March 15, 2016:
My doctor went ahead and scheduled me to be induced the following evening. I arrived at the hospital at six o'clock and got settled into my room. Keep in mind I'm a ftm so I'm new to everything and don't really know what to expect. So before the nurses decided to start me on pitocin they wanted to soften my cervix with this little pill that they insert vaginally (I forgot the name sadly). Everything was fine at first then around 9 that's when I started experiencing contractions. They were pretty painful and coming in strong back to back. My nurse told me she was shocked at how fast my body reacted to it the pill and tried to go back and get it out to calm me down. Sadly it had dissolved so I was stuck in pain. Each contraction came in and I would just grab ok to the rails of the bed and shake until it stopped. But due to the contractions coming back every 10 seconds I started feeling sick. It's eleven o'clock now and I was finally dilated to a 3 but the nurse insisted I wasn't quite ready for the epidural since she didn't want it to wear off too soon so she gave me some mess through the iv. Whatever it was made me very loopy and I felt like I was drunk 😵 lol 😂. My mom said she laughed at me the whole time. My pain level started to come down a little but shot back up after 30 minutes had past.
March 16, 2016:
So it's like twelve almost going on one o'clock in the morning. I'm so over these contractions, like I could cry but I just couldn't budge a tear. Finally my lovely nurse came back and blessed me with the best news I heard that whole night. I was finally able to get the epidural. Originally I wanted to give birth naturally without meds but that didn't work out in my favor and I will tip my hat to all the lovely moms that did it cause this one surely couldn't handle the pain 😩. I swear I thought it was Jesus himself when the anesthesiologist walked in. Now I have heard all about the horrors of getting the epidural but trust and believe when I say I felt like I was in heaven when I received it. I didn't flinch or anything that's how bad I wanted it. Five minutes passed and I crashed. Being able to sleep was everything especially after my body was going through a lot with the contractions.
It's five in the morning and my nurse woke me up and said ," Lucky girl, you're dilated to a 9. It's time to give birth". I was so happy to hear them words. I must admit I thought the whole labor thing was going to happen quickly so I had did my makeup the day before. So yeah, I still had that same look I did on and well it didn't look quite well. Running mascara, foundation rubbed off onto the pillow, and eyebrows smudged across my forehead 😂. But mommy didn't care about all of that. My main concern was to get my baby girl into this world without any problems.
My ob/gyn finally showed up at 7 and checked my cervix. He goes on to say I was only dilated to a 6/7 but proceeded by breaking my water. I was thinking I was about to give birth when I wasn't quite ready yet. Now my new nurse comes in and starts me on the pitocin to speed things up. I dose back off until around 9ish almost 10 to this pressure in my bottom half. It felt as if I had to 💩 in all seriousness. The nurse assures me it's the baby and it was time to push. Me being me I argued with her for a brief 5 minutes insisting that it wasn't my baby but something else. She's giggling at me as well as my mom and sister. Fast forward- I'm finally pushing, I never knew it was that hard to push a baby out. In the middle of my pushing I started to get real hot and nausea. The nurses went and got me a wet rag and ice water to soothe me. I started back pushing and my baby girl was about to make her entrance. Due to how she was coming out my doctor decided to give me a episiotomy. I felt every bit of it and wanted to kick him but I knew he was just doing his job.
At 10:19 am I gave birth to a beautiful 7lbs 6oz and 20in little girl.
Nyomi Aubrielle is her name to be exact.
Through all the pain and the stitches I received I wouldn't mind doing this pregnancy thing all over again just to see the adorable face st the end. Here's some pics of us and no they aren't the best pics of me but as you can see I had just gave birth and didn't care about anything or anyone except my baby girl at moment. I want to congratulate all the mommies on their blessings or soon to be blessings. This has been an interesting journey and I have enjoyed every second of it. P.S. please forgive me for any grammar or punctuation errors I was in a rush typing this only because Nyomi is actually sleeping good and this is like a free time for me lol but I hope everyone enjoy my story. Also sorry it's kinda lengthy.
