I got the Mirena IUD and since then I've been having my period for 39 days straight. I'm 17, pretty athletic, and my periods were usually longer, but now I've been having a TON of cramps. I never really got bad cramps before but now they hurt like hell. My period in the past month has been between crime scene and spotting, but it still hurts either way. Everybody has just said that I'm adjusting and that their period just gets heavier or lighter after getting an IUD.

Has anybody else continuously had their period after getting an IUD???
