sleep training and teething

We had been sleep training our son for about 2 weeks and he was doing very well. He was putting himself to sleep and most nights sleeping right through. And then he started teething. One has broken through but I think another one is about to come through. He now can't put himself to sleep. He needs to be rocked or nursed again. And we've been doing that because I feel like he needs to be comforted, but now I'm afraid all our progress is gone:( does anyone have any advice?
