Post C-section must- haves??

Hi ladies. I am having my first scheduled C Section In two weeks. Are there any "must haves" that I need for after surgery and for home? Anything to help with the healing process and my comfort level. Thanks so much! 
Or, any advice you can give me on what to expect? For when I'm home and the healing process.

(1) Wear the belly band! My hospital gave me one but they're available online as well if yours doesn't. (2) Get up and moving as soon as you're able, I really think my recovery was as easy as it was because I was walking and showering right away. (3) Take the pain meds. Don't be a hero. (4) Utilize the nurses. It's perfectly okay if you need a break and want your baby to go to the nursery for a bit. Don't let anyone shame you for that. It's major surgery and you need time to recover. Don't leave the hospital too soon. I left a day earlier than they recommended and it was really rough. (5) If you get the baby blues and are crying a lot, it's NORMAL. Nobody told me and I thought I was the worst mom in the world for not feeling an instant connection and being so sad. I recovered really well with my c section, but one thing was laughing, coughing, or sneezing hurt so bad! It is helpful to have a small pillow to hold against your stomach to help when sneezing, coughing, or laughing. Just take it easy and don't push yourself. You may have days when you're feeling great but if you overdue it, it'll catch up with you. Good luck!

Always Adult Underwear (they go way above the incision and are as comfortable as adult underwear gets), some sort of chair for sleeping in (seriously. Ask someone to borrow their lazy boy for a while if you don't have one. I couldn't get in bed for weeks!), a sensitive skin body wash for when you're okay'd to wash your incision, peri bottle, and a SO or bff to help you when you need it!!

Get up as soon as they say you can. It's going to suck but you'll feel so much better. Bring granny panties but take advantage of the underwear the hospital provides. Ask for extra, same goes for the pads. You're going to sweat like you never have before. I brought 3 nursing tanks so I was able to change them every morning and not feel so gross all day. Bring your pillow from home and a boppy the hospital pillows suck. When you get home getting up from a laying position is going to feel like you're ripping in half. I would suggest sleeping propped up so it's less stress on you. Take the help from your SO and whoever else. But don't ever feel bad for turning people away either. Also, don't over do it! Listen to your body when it comes to even simple tasks like cooking or vacuuming. Lastly and most importantly enjoy the time with your babe!

Take the pain meds! I tried to go without and let the pain catch up with me and I could hardly breathe getting up. Also, they had me on Norco, which did nothing for me so I needed something stronger and they put on percocet. I was on pain medicine for a week and half and i weaned myself down slow. I breastfed and my son was completely fine. He's 6 months now and developmentally a month ahead so don't beat yourself up. I would get up about 45 minutes-1 hour after getting my pain medicine to allow it time to take effect before I moved. I used stool softners and mag07 to keep thing moving because I didn't want to strain and pain medicine can constipate you. I iced my incision a lot to help with swelling and itching. I itched like crazy! I got super absorbent thin pads to use after the hospital pads weren't necessary. The hospital pads are huge and plasticky but necessary in the beginning bc of the bleeding. And snacks! The hospital should provide you with a water bottle

Be sure to stand up straight when walking, even though you feel you need to hunch. Hunching makes the pain worse. Pillow against tummy for coughing, sneezing, laughing. If you have a tall bed, get a small step stool to help get up and down. USE the pain mess they give you before the pain gets out of hand. I tried to be super woman and would regret it later.

After for bleeding instead of the mesh from hospital or regular undies I used the depends silhouettes. They were comfy and really couldn't tell difference between them or reg undies.

Get something like this ! It will help you with the pain while getting up and walking . This made my life 100% better ! Make sure to get a bigger size bc of the swelling, granny pants is great too. Pj pants , leggings , comfortable slippers....
